MUV represents the largest medical school in the German-speaking countries with more than 5,000 total staff, of which nearly 1,000 are qualified professors. In any given year, there are approximately 8,500 enrolled medical students. Nearly 1,100 students are enrolled in allied health professional education and training programs at MUV affiliated institutions, which include nursing, medical technology, biomedical laboratory science, radiological technology, dietetics, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and logopedics, phoniatrics, audiology programs. MUV also offers 19 areas of doctorate study specialization in basic and applied sciences (Ph.D. and Dr. Scient. Med. degrees).
